The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) is the global association for the decentralised renewable energy (DRE) industry, catalysing private sector-driven markets for sustainable electricity services, creating jobs and powering equitable green economies. ARE enables improved energy access through business development support for more than 185 Members along the whole value chain for DRE technologies.

GET.invest is a European programme which supports investments in renewable energy. The programme targets private sector business and project developers, financiers and regulators to build sustainable energy markets in developing countries. Services include market information, a funding database, matchmaking events and access-to-finance advisory. The programme is supported by the European Union, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Austria, and works closely with initiatives and business associations in the energy sector.

Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA)
The Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA) is a national renewable energy non-profit and member-based association that is working to promote the use of sustainable renewable energy and energy efficiency in Tanzania Mainland. The network has more than 800 members. TAREA promotes the use of sustainable renewable energy through managing knowledge and information dissemination, networking public and private stakeholders, supporting the creation of an enabling environment and framework for a sustainable renewable energy and energy efficiency markets, and promoting institutional capacity building.
